Zygo Receives $3M Laser Fusion Amplifier Order

MIDDLEFIELD, Conn., July 7, 2011 — The Optical Systems Div. of Zygo Corp. has been awarded a $3 million continuation order from Commissariat à l’énergie atomique (CEA) for its meter class laser fusion amplifiers. The order is part of an ongoing contract begun in 2007 in support of the Laser Mégajoule Program for the French government. It is anticipated to run through 2014. Zygo supplies optical metrology instruments, precision optics and electro-optical design and manufacturing services for the semiconductor capital equipment, biomedical, scientific and industrial markets.
