Rothman serves as the Sterling Professor and Chair of the Department of Cell Biology at Yale University School of Medicine. TUCSON, Ariz. — Laser technology and directed energy company Applied Energetics appointed Chris Donaghey CFO and COO, effective Aug. 1. Donaghey joins Applied Energetics from Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC), a defense and government agency technology integrator. He is also a founder and executive board member of the Silicon Valley Defense Group. EINDHOVEN, Netherlands — Industrial camera developer Adimec’s co-founder and chief scientist, Jochem Herrman, has retired. Herrman was a developer of CoaXPress, a digital interface standard for machine vision image data transmission, which earned Adimec and its collaborators the 2009 Vision Award sponsored by IMVEurope. Hermann also served as president of the European Machine Vision Association (EMVA) from 2015 to 2020. His retirement coincided with the company’s celebration of its 30th anniversary.
