Mass General to Study CTI Breast Imaging System
PORTLAND, Ore., Sept. 13 -- Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) will conduct a clinical study to help evaluate a breast imaging system made by Computerized Thermal Imaging (CTI). The system uses noninvasive thermal imaging technology that could help physicians differentiate between a patient's benign or malignant breast lesions, CTI said. The study will begin in the fall and will be led by Kevin Hughes, a surgical oncologist at MGH, in association with Daniel Kopans, director of breast imaging at MGH and professor of radiology at Harvard Medical School.
