BOULDER, Colo., Sept. 27 -- CDM Optics Inc. and Carl Zeiss Group are partnering on the use of CDM's wavefront coding technology in Carl Zeiss' products. Both companies will jointly develop and market the technology. The technology allows imaging with a far greater depth of field than is possible with traditional imaging systems. It also allows for less expensive optical designs to perform as well as highly corrected optical systems by using fewer elements and permitting plastic elements rather than glass.Read full articleRelated content from Photonics MediaArticlesHamamatsu to Establish New Factory for Semiconductor Laser Manufacturing: Week in Brief: 04/28/23The U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) released a paper outlining its vision and strategy for a National Semiconductor Technology Center (NSTC),...Photonics.com 4/28/2023Toshiba Teli Corporation Takes Home 2024 VISION AwardToshiba Teli Corporation has won the 2024 VISION award.
