Alan Lowe to Head JDSU's Commercial Laser Unit

Alan Lowe has been appointed to lead JDSU's commercial laser business, replacing Phillip Meredith, who is retiring. JDSU, of Milpitas, Calif., develops broadband test and measurement and optical products for communications, commercial and consumer markets. Lowe, with more than 20 years experience in management, sales and business development, was formerly senior vice president, customer solutions, at Asyst Technologies Inc.
