Sagitta and FOC Launch Laser Cleaving System
Oct 1, 2005 — Fiber optic process equipment supplier Sagitta Inc. of Hauppauge, N.Y., has formed a partnership with Fiber Optic Center Inc. (FOC) of New Bedford, Mass. Under the agreement, FOC will distribute Sagitta’s Comet laser cleaving system for optical connectors in the US, Canada and Mexico. An alternative to hand processes, the technology was developed by Corning Cable Systems of Hickory, N.C., and is exclusively licensed by Sagitta.
