The EverGen PowerStrap Generator from II-VI Inc. is designed to harvest wasted heat as reusable energy in the oil and gas industry.
The generator converts thermal energy into electrical energy using the wasted energy from liquid-filled pipes or gas exhaust stacks and provides an economical, reliable and autonomous source of power for off-grid applications. It is especially effective in northern climates where inclement weather makes other sources of off-grid energy, such as solar power, less reliable.
The EverGen PowerStrap Generator is a Class 1 Div2-certified product that directly addresses the problem of providing electrical power to burner management systems used in the oil and gas industry. Its power generating strap assembly accommodates pipe sizes from 6 to 14 in. in diameter. Its complementary power conversion and charge management electronics maximizes the charging efficiency of lead-acid batteries.
