VAN NUYS, Calif., Jan. 3, 2020 — Rotary StagesThe 400-mm AY110-400-01 step-motor-driven and AY110-400-02 servo-motor-driven rotary stages from Optimal Engineering Systems Inc. feature 180 mm in open aperture.

At a height of 71 mm, the stages feature precise patterns of 16 threaded holes in two bolt circles, allowing for easy mounting of custom tooling and fixtures. The diameter of the rotary table is 400 mm, and the range of travel is a full 360° of continuous rotation. The table is driven by a smooth 360:1 worm gear and has a resolution of 0.0005 o with a 10 micro-steps/step stepper motor driver. They feature a positional accuracy of +/- 0.05°, surface roundness of 20 μm, and parallelism of 120 μm.

The AY110-400-01 rotary stage is equipped with stepper motor and a knob for manual adjustment which can be replaced with an optical encoder for precision position. The easily accessible mounting holes in the base are helpful for simple integration into new and existing applications in aerospace, astronomy, motion control, manufacturing, medicine, and more.
