Turan Erdogan Named VP at Idex Optics & Photonics
ROCHESTER, N.Y., Jan. 25, 2013 — Dr. Turan Erdogan has been appointed vice president of marketing and business development at Idex Optics & Photonics, the company announced Thursday.
Erdogan co-founded Semrock in 2000 and served as its chief technology officer. The company was acquired by Idex in 2008 as the first optics company in what later became its Optics & Photonics platform (IOP) and now includes CVI Laser Optics, Melles Griot, ATFilms and Precision Photonics.

Most recently, Erdogan served as chief technology officer for IOP, responsible for the optics technology and long-range product development for all IOP businesses. In his new position, he will continue his involvement in product development and focus on strategic growth initiatives for all IOP companies, Idex said.
