Spectra GmbH has acquired ICP Deutschland GmbH, a fellow producer of industrial PCs and automation technologies. The addition strengthens Spectra’s portfolio and expertise in the field of industrial PCs for automation and machine vision, among other application areas. With the acquisition, employees of ICP Deutschland will be transferred to Spectra. Harald Behnstedt, former managing director of ICP Deutschland, along with Albin Markwardt, former managing director of compmall, will form a dual leadership team for business development at Spectra. The acquisition comes after Spectra acquired compmall, another producer of industrial PC technologies, in May.
