UAberdeen Adds Electronics with Photonics Degree

The University of Aberdeen in Aberdeen, Scotland, announced it has added a degree in electronics with photonics among four new offerings to its portfolio of energy programs and will receive the first intake of students in September 2009. The electronics with photonics program, available as either a five-year master's or four-year bachelor's degree, aims to meet the future demands of the photonics industry in the UK, which plays a crucial role in sectors including communications, medical and defense, the university said.
