Optical technology company TRUMPF is reorganizing its management bodies with changes set to take effect with the start of the new fiscal year July 1. Jürgen Hambrecht, current chairman of the supervisory board who has served in his role since 2013, will resign and leave the supervisory board due to age reasons, according to the company. In addition, Peter Leibinger, current vice chairman of the managing board and CTO, will leave the managing board to assume the role of chairman of the supervisory board, succeeding Hambrecht. Elke Reichart, former chief digital officer (CDO) of TUI AG, will succeed Claudia Eckert on the supervisory board. Christian Schmitz, member of the managing board responsible for the Laser Technology business division, will step down from his post having reached retirement. He will be succeeded by Hagen Zimer, who has served as managing director of TRUMPF Laser GmbH since 2020. He has served as managing director of TRUMPF Photonic Components since April 2020 and has been with TRUMPF since 2013, including as CTO for research and development of the Laser Technology business division and as head of corporate research for corporate R&D. In the extended management team, Peter Bokelmann will leave the company as general counsel. Zimer’s successor as managing director of TRUMPF in Schramberg will be Björn Dymke. Dymke has been with TRUMPF since 2008, most recently as head of finance and controlling at the TRUMPF Group. Previously, Dymke was responsible for finance and administration of the TRUMPF subsidiaries in North America for three years. Schmidt’s successor as managing director of TRUMPF Photonic Components will be announced by July 1. Chairwoman of the managing board Nicola Leibinger-Kammüller and TRUMPF managing board members Mathias Kammüller (CDO), Lars Grünert (CFO), Oliver Maassen (chief human resources officer), and Stephan Mayer (CEO Machine Tools) will retain their current functions.
