An associate degree program in scientific imaging has been launched by Cuyahoga Community College at its Western Campus in Parma, Ohio. Graduates will be prepared to work as scientific imaging professionals in such areas as medicine, science, forensics, engineering, aerospace and the military. The program will draw upon existing courses, including general psychology, intermediate algebra and an introduction to criminal justice; and offer new ones, including practices and procedures in scientific imaging, image analysis and professional ethics; and scientific imaging practices. Degree candidates will be accepted in January as part of the college's Visual Communications and Design program, which is intended to encourage collaboration, creative thinking and the exploration of new technology.
