Munich-based private equity firm PINOVA Capital has acquired all shares in Sill Optics along with Christoph Sieber, managing director. Sieber holds a minority stake in the company with all other shares held by PINOVA Capital. “Sill Optics has shown strong growth historically,” Herbert Seggewiß, a partner at PINOVA Captial, said. “PINOVA and the long-term managing director Christoph Sieber will further support this development by investments in production technologies and employees to strengthen Sill Optics’ international footprint as well as its position of being an innovative development partner to the industry. Seggewiß will serve on the advisory board of Sill Optics.” Sill Optics specializes in high-end optical components for laser processing, machine vision, medical technology, and metrology. The company was founded in 1894.
