BLOOMFIELD, Conn., August 30 -- Kaman Aerospace's Electro-Optics Development Center (EODC) has joined a Northrop Grumman-led team that is designing and developing a rapid airborne mine clearance system (RAMICS) for the US Navy. Kaman EODC will primarily be responsible for the laser-based target sensor subsystem development. RAMICS, a helicopter-borne system, will consist of the target sensor subsystem, fire control subsystem, gun subsystem, munition subsystem and software.
