Blue laser company NUBURU announced the formation of an advisory board, intended to bring expertise to markets including battery and e-mobility, consumer electronics, and defense, and to guide the company’s business and product development. Founding members of the advisory board are David Buss, CEO of data storage technology company OpenDrives and former commander of the Naval Air Forces in the U.S. Navy; Ga-Lane Chen, CTO and CIO of Foxconn; Takashi Mitachi, senior adviser and former co-chairman of Boston Consulting Group’s Worldwide Executive Committee, outside director to a number of Japanese companies, and a professor at Kyoto University; and Bob Galyen, who has held numerous executive positions within the battery energy storage industry.
