Multifield imaging is a new imaging technique that enables the simultaneous capture of multiple images under various lighting conditions. Coupled with time delay integration (TDI), this emerging imaging technique can overcome many of the limitations of traditional approaches. As conventional vision technology has become increasingly sophisticated, it has found increasingly broad application in multiple end markets, such as factory automation, environmental monitoring, and the life sciences (Figure 1).
