About This Webinar

Lasers, LEDs, and photonics in general are providing new dimensions to industrial automation solutions, far beyond illumination and material treatment. They enable open work-cell production setups as part of Industry 4.0, allow machines to sense their environment efficiently, and are opening completely new use cases for human-machine interaction. This presentation provides an insight into state-of-the-art optical solutions beyond lighting, indicating how optical emitter and detector components support industrial automation and which compelling innovations could be discovered with these technologies.

Who should attend:
Researchers, developers, engineers, and manufacturers who work in industrial automation. Those in industries including automotive, consumer, machine vision, medicine, and semiconductors working with technologies such as cameras, imaging, lasers and laser systems, LEDs, optics, and robotics.

About the presenter:
Clemens Müller, Ph.D., is senior director of application marketing for the industrial and medical segments. He holds a doctorate in electrical engineering from RWTH Aachen University in Aachen, Germany and has gained more than 20 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. In his function, Müller works horizontally across all ams OSRAM business units. He is responsible for the identification of new technical trends within the mentioned application segments and the customer-centric mapping of these trends into innovative system solutions powered by a complete ams OSRAM portfolio.

About ams OSRAM AG:
ams OSRAM is a global leader in intelligent sensors and emitters. It offers a unique product and technology portfolio for sensing, illumination, and visualization from high-performance LEDs and lasers to mixed-signal analog integrated circuits and sensors for automotive, industrial, medical, and specific consumer applications.
