Lockheed Martin Corp. of Bethesda, Md., has awarded a second infrared focus assembly contract to LightWorks Optics Inc. of Tustin, Calif. According to the $3.6 million agreement, the California company will design, manufacture and test 28 assemblies for fighter aircraft. It has fulfilled a previous order for 43 units from Lockheed. LightWorks engineers collaborate with customers to develop integrated optical systems for advanced applications.
