WASHINGTON, DC, June 29 -- House Republicans have introduced an e-contract agenda aimed at promoting the growth of American high tech industries by reducing government taxes and regulations. We believe a cutting edge society needs a cutting edge agenda, House Majority Leader Dick Armey said. We had the Contract with America to address a broad range of concerns. And we think we need a contract that specifically addresses the concerns of high-tech America. The agenda includes modernizing the education system, cutting taxes to promote investment and research, preventing frivolous lawsuits, promoting high-speed Internet access, removing barriers to Internet commerce, protecting intellectual property rights and reining in excessive federal regulations.
