Cylindrical solar photovoltaic (PV) systems manufacturer Solyndra Inc. announced that Brian Harrison has joined the company as the new president and CEO. In addition, he will be appointed to the board of directors. Prior to joining the company, Harrison served as president and CEO of Numonyx BV, an international flash memory company. He has also served as vice president and general manager of the Flash Memory Group at Intel Corp., where he managed all flash memory business. Also while at Intel, he served as vice president and general manager of Intel Europe, Middle East and Africa. There, he was responsible for regional product sales and marketing.
