Hamamatsu Licenses JDSU IP

MILPITAS, Calif., Nov. 9, 2009 – JDSU announced today that it has licensed patent rights for fundamental picosecond laser technology to Hamamatsu Corp. for the development of microelectronic products. Hamamatsu, the Bridgewater, N.J.-based subsidiary of Hamamatsu Photonics KK of Japan, makes devices for the generation and measurement of infrared, visible and ultraviolet light, including photodiodes, photomultiplier tubes, infrared detectors and image sensors.
