Micron Technology Inc. will develop and supply complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) image sensors to Given Imaging Ltd. under a five-year, mutually exclusive development and supply agreement. Micron's CMOS image sensors are used in Given Imaging's M2A capsule endoscope. The agreement includes the option of five one-year extensions, subject to approval by both parties. . . . Shirley M. Malcom, head of the directorate for education and human resources at the American Association for the Advancement of Science, will receive The National Academy of Science (NAS) Public Welfare Medal, one of 18 awards to be presented at the NAS annual meeting in Washington on April 28 for scientific achievements. Malcolm is being recognized for "bringing science education to millions of children in the US and other nations, in order to create a science-literate populace."
