DTU, UIUC Collaborating on Fiber Lasers

LYNGBY, Denmark, Oct. 20, 2010 — DTU Fotonik Department of Photonics Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) are partnering to develop a multicolor femtosecond all-fiber laser for biophotonics applications. The device will be based on original technologies developed by the groups at DTU Fotonik and UIUC. Haohua Tu, a scientist from Biophotonics Imaging Laboratory at UIUC, begins a 3-month research stay at DTU Fotonik in October 2010.
