DRS Technologies Garners Defense Contract

DRS Technologies Inc. of Parsippany, N.J., has received a $23 million contract from the US Army’s Aviation and Missile Command in Huntsville, Ala., to provide engineering and field service support, and general depot repairs for obsolescence mitigation of the mastmounted sights on the OH-58 Kiowa Warrior attack helicopters. The work will be done by the DRS Sensors & Targeting Systems’ Optronics Division in Melbourne and Palm Bay, both in Florida. Systems inside the sights include an IR thermal imaging sensor and a laser rangefinder/designator.Read full article
