CORNING, N.Y., Nov. 18 -- Corning Inc. announced that the US District Court for the District of Delaware has ruled that SRU Biosystems of Woburn, Mass., infringed on a patent exclusively licensed to Corning for optical biosensors that enable label-independent detection of chemical, biochemical and biological substances in a sample. The court ruled that the patent is valid, and also found that SRU induced patent infringement through its testing activities with a potential customer. Corning licensed the patent from Artificial Sensing Instruments (ASI) AG of Zurich, Switzerland, and Corning and...Read full articleRelated content from Photonics MediaArticlesEPIC Names Recipients of Lifetime Achievement, CEO AwardsThe European Photonics Industry Consortium (EPIC) has named the winners of the EPIC Lifetime Achievement Award and the EPIC CEO Award.
