Kentek Goes Mobile with Cross-Country Van Store
PITTSFIELD, N.H., Aug. 30, 2017 — Laser safety product developer Kentek Corp. has created a new PHOTON1 mobile store: a Ford Transit 250 van filled with product examples from all of its laser safety lines that is driving across the U.S. to various businesses and laboratories.
With a crafted showroom full of interactive displays, the company plans to bring customers a unique, hands-on learning experience that includes on-site laser
safety equipment demonstrations. Interlock systems, barriers, enclosures, beam stops/dumps as well as an array of laser safety eyewear frames and filters are all on display.
So far, Tom MacMullin, president and general manager of Kentek, and his son, Thomas, have journeyed 12,400 miles with the PHOTON1, visiting nearly 300 customers.
“What’s a better way to go than a rolling catalog?” MacMullin said.
“It’s a showcase for all of our products.”
The company sees the mobile store as an ideal laser safety office that will allow others to gather insight into the American National Standards Institute-compliant laser safety solutions. Experienced laser experts show the full range of Kentek’s products and services, and discuss possibilities of customization for specific laser application environments.
Kentek is a provider of laser eyewear, laser safety officer training, power meters, laser barriers, curtains and accessories.
