Robotic Vision Systems Inc. (RVSI) announced that its Acuity CiMatrix division has opened a sales office in Shanghai, China, and has appointed Andrew Lee as managing director, Asia. Acuity CiMatrix also announced it has been selected as a vendor for an international traceability program being implemented in the Philippines by a Europe-based automotive electronics manufacturer. Acuity CiMatrix is supplying more than 100 HawkEye 1500-series smart cameras, to be used to read data matrix marks etched on components.
