Jeffrey P. Lucas has been named CFO of Robotic Vision Systems (RVSI). Lucas was previously CFO and senior vice president at Micro Networks Corp. RVSI, a Nashua, N.H.-based maker of machine vision systems, also announced today it has completed a private placement of common stock, raising $4.75 million in gross proceeds, to be used for general corporate purposes, including working capital to support growth. . . . eMagin Corp. announced today it has received an additional $360,000 from the US Air Force to complete development of its SXGA 1280x1024-pixel high-luminance active matrix organic light emitting diode (AMOLED) microdisplay, to be used in helmet-mounted display applications. The contract is being managed by Ball Aerospace. . . . Cymer Inc., a San Diego-based supplier of excimer light sources used in semiconductor manufacturing, has appointed Anthony Yen as senior vice president of lithography market development. Yen was formerly co-director of International Sematec's lithography division.
