About This Webinar
Developing and assembling the ideal configuration of a line scan camera system is a challenging and time-consuming task requiring extensive knowledge about cameras, optics, lighting, and the object's optical properties to be inspected. The "Line Scan Vision Platform" Chromasens simplifies the design of a complete line scan camera system, dramatically reducing the required time from the idea to the prototype. The modular assembly allows also for fast changes and optimizations of the system which typically might be required after the first tests of the vision system. Especially an outstanding modular set of lighting configurations is provided, which is crucial to optimize the line scan vision system for challenging objects and surfaces.

Based on the requirements of the application, such as resolution, speed, scan width, etc., the appropriate camera, lens and lens adapters are determined with the help of the online camera configuration tool. The "Line Scan Vision Platform" contains numerous components, to allow for most flexible set ups. Different line scan cameras from 4k to 15k as well as a large variety of lenses and lights are available to provide an optimal solution for a wide range of applications. The lighting arrangement is adjusted to the surface and the type of defects. Different light configurations, such as dark field, bright field, dome light, and co-axial illuminations can be realized. In particular, light combinations are also possible, for example to implement multi-field imaging with different light configurations within a single system.

Furthermore, the "Line Scan Vision Platform" contains alignment adapters that, together with easy-to-use software, enable fast and precise alignment of the components in the plant.

The platform is scalable and supports several cameras in a row for large scan widths and high-resolution applications. With the modular platform, a complete system including cameras, lenses and light can be configured which significantly simplifies and speeds up design, test and installation of the first system.
