About the presenter:
Perry WestPerry C. West is president of Automated Vision Systems Inc., a leading consulting firm in the field of machine vision. He has over 43 years of experience in machine vision. This experience includes system design and development; development of both general purpose and application-specific software packages; optical engineering for both lighting and imaging; camera and interface design, education, and training; and manufacturing and engineering management. He received his Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. West is a past president of the Machine Vision Association of SME, and he received the MVA/SME Chairman’s Award for 1990 and an Association for Advancing Automation (A3) annual Achievement Award for 2003.
