About This Webinar
The optical interposer has gained traction because it can meet the high-volume production requirements of AI clusters while reducing cost and power consumption. As the market settles into an era where 800Gbps and 1.6Tbps applications become the norm — and 3.2Tbps optical engines may not be far behind — the demand for a “semiconductorization of photonics” approach increases. The cornerstone of that approach will be silicon-based optical interposers that allow for scalability through wafer-level passive assembly and an overall reduction of components.

By adopting optical interposers, data center networking companies can eliminate numerous parts and labor-intensive steps, including wire bonds. They can also benefit from improved margins, lower overhead, and a streamlined supply chain. With a simplified system design and material-agnostic platform, optical interposers provide engineers with the capability to unlock new designs and architect the computing devices of the future.
