Stanford Wins Robot Race
Oct 11, 2005 — PRIMM, Nev., Oct. 11 -- Stanley, a robotic Volkswagon Touareg built by Stanford University, beat other autonomous ground vehicles in the 2005 Grand Challenge race, sponsored by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).
