Smart MEMs Raman for Area Scanning The newly released CloudMinds’ XI2 is a cloud AI MEMs Raman device specifically designed for area sampling.

This novel XI2 is built upon CloudMinds’ prism award winning handheld Raman XITM but is also equipped with MEMs scanning mirror. Utilizes a Lissajous scanning mechanism, the laser beam of XI2 is directed over an area so Raman measurement is no longer taken from a single point but from an area of interest. The Lissajous scanning is achieved with two scanning waveforms: (X: 36 Hz, Y: 180 Hz). The rotating angle of each waveform is 32 degrees. The Lissajous scanning also provides a rectangular or square FoV (field of view) that is linearly adjustable for any sampling area. Additionally, the mems mirror is made of silicon with an ultra-high reflectance coating to allow minimum light loss. XI2 maintains the full functionality of our cloud AI XITM Raman with a dual operating domain for both smart phone and Raman spectrometer. And it features the cloud data platform for instant updates and data sharing, and the unique deep learning algorithm for faster and more accurate data analysis. Fully integrated with the smartphone, the operation of XI2 device is fully automated while maintaining constant connection to cloud Raman data via WIFI, 4G, or Bluetooth.

Equipped with MEMs scanning mirror, the smart XI2 enables fast automated operation, and can scan an area of heterogenous samples in seconds. XI2 is essential to any Raman measurements with non-homogenous samples when the single point measurement is not enough to sample the entire area with one measurement. This novel MEMs handheld Raman is best suited for applications with SERs substrates, defense, pharmaceutical APIs, food inspection, and environmental monitoring.
