Piezoelectrical Gripper
piezosystem jena GmbHRequest Info
JENA, Germany, Feb. 9 -- Piezosystem Jena has developed a gripper system for the smallest components in micro- and nanotechnology. The gripper, based on a miniaturized piezo actuator, has solid-state flexure hinges and a 300-µm range of motion. Combined with adaptable tools, this system can be enlarged accordingly. A piezoelectrical actuator with sub-nm resolution ensures a precise aperture angle in the direction of motion. The actuator is closed by the elastic resilience of a spring. The gripper force can be adjusted precisely, and the outside design of the gripper can be easily configured. A simple analog voltage signal in the range of 0 to 150 V is required. The technical requirements for an optimal system integration are relatively low. Also, the tool collet on the moving part of the gripper can be custom-designed, making it suitable for OEM applications.
