The Switchtec™ PAX Advanced Fabric Gen-4 PCIe switch family from Microchip Technology Inc. enables complex fabric topologies with greater scalability, lower latency, and higher performance than traditional PCIe switches.
The switches provide a turnkey fabric solution, reducing time-to-market for systems requiring multi-host sharing of single-root I/O virtualization, nonvolatile memory solid-state drives, graphics processing units, and other PCIe endpoints.
The Switchtec™ PAX devices significantly reduce total system power consumption.
The devices are available in 100-, 84-, 68-, 52-, 36-, and 28-lane variants.
