The optics polishing system from Meller Optics Inc. includes ready-to-use Gugolz optical lapping pitch, alumina abrasive powders and alumina suspensions. The pitch is available in five premixed grades to eliminate the need for screening and mixing. The 99.99% pure abrasive powders come in regular and deagglomerated grades and as water-based calcinated suspensions for grinding, lapping and polishing. The polishing system is suitable for optical substrates such as germanium, silicon, glasses and zinc-selenide.
