Energy Efficiency, High-Brightness
SALT LAKE CITY, May 17 -- The CAO Group Inc. announced it has released three new products: The LuxemLED backlighting illumination system, MR-16 high-intensity LED bulbs and the LuxemChannel Pixel- and Piranha-style channel lettering illumination systems.
The LuxemLED backlighting illumination system is suitable for applications including lightboxes, information displays and road signs. The company said it is being widely implemented in cities in China, for example at information kiosks being installed in Beijing in preparation for the 2008 Summer Olympics Games. The LuxemLED system provides energy savings up to 80 percent of that used by neon lighting. Other benefits are excellent color uniformity and high brightness, even in extreme temperatures, and low maintenance. Two color options are available, and the system can display high-bright white and full-spectrum RBG colors for an array of color mixing capabilities. The design is optimized for heat management. The LEDs have a maximum power consumption of only 2.2 watts per foot. LuxemLED modules’ interconnectivity features make customized design solutions available for any backlighting situation. The system is suited for environments with adverse weather conditions, electrical and mechanical shock or vibration.
MR-16 LUXEMBulbs are high-intensity LED direct incandescent replacement bulbs that combine advanced indium gallium aluminum phosphide (InGaAlP) and indium gallium aluminum nitride (IGaN) LED technology with the standard MR16 light-optimizing design. LUXEMBulbs use just 0.8 to 4 watts, have a 50,000-hour (six year) LED operating life and five sunlight-visible colors with two viewing angles. The are available in 12 volts DC and AC and are designed to perform well in systems subjected to voltage dips or surges, the company said. Each LUXEMBulb produces a total output of 50 lumens and is available in white, red, amber, green and blue, with 15e and 25-degree viewing angles. Wide selections of base connector types are available in ZE27-4, Gu10-B or G6.35, Edison, lockin and bi-pin. LEDs in the LUXEMBulb are perfectly suited for extreme environments such as electrical and mechanical shock, vibration and frequent switching. Applications include retail store displays, building accent lights, stage and galley lighting and ornamental lighting.
The LuxemCHANNEL channel lettering lighting system provides energy savings up to 80 percent over neon, excellent color uniformity, high brightness and low maintenance, even in extreme temperatures. LuxemCHANNEL is available in white, red, yellow, green and blue in both the Pixel and Piranha styles. The Pixel style contains 3 modules per foot, 2 pixels per module and 5 LEDs (3500 mcd each) per pixel with voltage consumption of less than 2.6 watts per foot. Piranha styles include 3 modules per foot containing 2 LEDs (980-1300 mcd each), consuming less than 1.6 watts per foot. Each style has a flexible mounting system, for use in standard, reverse or edge channel lettering.
