NIR Conduction-Cooled Diode Lasers
DILAS Diodenlaser GmbH
MAINZ, Germany, Feb. 23, 2007 -- Dilas's new conduction-cooled, near-infrared (NIR) diode laser emits 60 W continuous-wave (CW) power at 808 and 980 nm from a single 19-emitter bar. Available in the industry-standard (25 mm x 25 mm) conduction-cooled package, this easy-to-integrate, high-brightness, multimode diode laser is an ideal pump source for solid-state lasers used for medical and industrial applications.
Dilas said the lasers are bright, powerful and reliable, with an operating current of 60 A and compliance voltage of 1.7 V. Beam divergence is <65 degrees by <10 degrees for 90-percent enclosed power. As an added feature, Dilas can include an antireflectivity (AR)-coated aspherical cylinder lens to collimate the fast-axis to <12 mrad. For applications requiring a collimated beam, Dilas said its slow-axis lensing capability can further improve bar brightness.
