VAN NUYS, Calif., April 27, 2020 — Linear Voice Coil MotorMoticont has announced two new models in its LVCM-025 series of linear voice coil motors.

The LVCM-025-038-01 features a continuous force of 2.5 lbs and a peak force of 7.8 lbs with a 0.37-in. stroke. The LVCM-025-038-02 features a continuous force of 16.4 oz, a peak force of 51.9 oz, and a 1-in. stroke. Each of the miniature, brushless direct-current servo motors features high acceleration and deceleration, low inertia, and zero cogging. Each linear motor also features a 10-32 UNC-2B threaded mounting hole in the housing and two 6-32 UNC-2B threaded mounting holes in the coil end on 0.50 in. centers for easy integration into new and existing applications. A complete plug-and-play system including an encoder and servo controller is also available.

They are ideal for assembly, sorting, laser machining and drilling, haptic feedback, packaging, sampling, work holding and clamping, scanning, laser beam steering and filtering, wafer handling, and medical and pharmaceutical applications.
