LASER SOURCE
ID QuantiqueRequest Info
Id Quantique SA has announced the id300 short-pulse laser source that targets researchers who need to generate short laser pulses at 1310 or 1550 nm. Based on either Fabry-Perot or distributed-feedback laser diodes, the device is externally triggered to emit subnanosecond pulses at repetitions from DC to 500 MHz. It can be combined with the company’s id201 single-photon detection and counting modules. Used with a variable optical attenuator, the source can operate as an economical single-photon laser source. The compact stand-alone unit finds applications in quantum optics, fiber optics characterization and optical measurement. Polarization-maintaining fiber is available as an option.
