Edmund Optics has introduced its TechSpec compact instrumentation imaging lenses.

The lenses provide high-quality images with low lens-to-lens variation and feature a broadband antireflection coating for maximum light transmission. They are designed for volume integration into applications such as analytical medical devices, including benchtop-based blood analyzers. Their adjustable, lockable focus enables the user to set the best focus position before the lens is integrated into instrumentation, eliminating the need for future adjustments.

A variety of fixed-aperture options allow maximum flexibility of resolution, throughput and depth of field, and each focal length is offered in a range of f/number options. Seventeen aperture stop versions, from f/1.4 to f/8 in 16-, 25- and 35-mm focal lengths, are available. Customized f/number versions also are offered.
