The RLD8BQAB3 from ROHM is a laser diode for lidar-equipped advanced driver assistance systems, drones, robot vacuum cleaners, automated guided vehicles, and service robots. The laser diode enables flexible irradiation options, including individual and simultaneous emissions, achieving 1 kW-class output. The 3.3 mm × 5.6 mm surface-mount RLD8BQAB3 is optimized for time-of-flight systems and features eight emission areas at 300 µm of width per element, a low wavelength temperature dependence of 0.1 nm/°C, and a 125-W array design.
