InGaAs Linear Image Sensors. Courtesy of Hamamatsu Europe. The G17225 series from Hamamatsu Europe features high-speed indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs) linear image sensors designed specifically for high-performance applications in foreign object detection, food screening, plastic sorting, spectral domain-optical coherence tomography, and nondestructive inspection. The series has a maximum line rate of 50 kilolines/s and a data rate of up to 20 MHz, enabling fast and accurate data acquisition critical for real-time inspection applications. The sensor maintains stable operation under varying conditions using its built-in temperature sensor. Three options are available for image size, including 12.8 × 0.025 mm, 12.8 × 0.0125 mm, and 12.8 × 0.25 mm. Available pixel sizes are 25 × 25 μm, 12.5 × 12.5 μm, and 12.5 × 250 μm for imaging flexibility.
