The Mira220 global shutter image sensor from ams OSRAM features a high quantum efficiency of 38% at the 940-nm NIR wavelength to enable operation with low-power emitters and in dim lighting conditions.
A stacked chip design uses back side illumination technology to shrink the package footprint to 5.3 × 5.3 mm, giving greater design flexibility to manufacturers of smart glasses and other space-constrained products. With its low-power operation and small size, applications include active stereo vision, structured lighting 3D systems, drones, mobile and wearable devices, robotics, and smart door locks.
