Fiber-Coupled Two-Bar Module
DILAS Diodenlaser GmbH
MAINZ, Germany, September 21, 2009 – Dilas has announced its smallest design within the fiber-coupled multibar module series. The two-bar module delivers up to 80-W output from a 400-µm core diameter fiber at 808 and 976 nm, and 30-W output at 1550 nm. It has a low numerical aperture of <0.22 and wall plug efficiency of >35%. The design is based on industry-standard conductively cooled bars that can be cooled with industrial-grade water or thermoelectrically air-cooled.
Achieving high brightness and high efficiency, this new module has demonstrated a lifetime greater than 10,000 h under 80-W continuous-wave operating conditions.
Custom wavelengths are available upon request. The module is suitable for direct diode applications as well as fiber and solid-state laser pumping. Devices are available with optional features to include an integrated pilot beam, a power sensor, a fiber interlock and a user-exchangeable protection window.
