EMCCD Microscopy Camera
Teledyne QImaging, Teledyne ImagingRequest Info
For high-sensitivity low-light imaging, QImaging has released the Rolera Thunder electron-multiplying CCD (EMCCD) microscopy camera. Its quantitative capability with linear EM gain and high frame rates renders advanced imaging accessible to more researchers. Designed for quantitative low-light fluorescence microscopy, the camera is suitable for life sciences applications including superresolution stochastic optical reconstruction microscopy imaging, photoactivated localization microscopy imaging, single-molecule fluorescence and fluorescence recovery after photobleaching. The camera features a back-illuminated 16-µm-pixel, 512 x 512 EMCCD sensor for >90% peak quantum efficiency, read noise of <1 e2 and operation at >385 fps with binning. Because of its high sensitivity, very short exposure times are possible, enabling rapid data acquisition and greater temporal resolution.
