The eighth edition of the Newport Diffraction Grating Handbook has been announced by MKS Instruments Inc.
The Handbook has undergone a number of revisions, updates, and expansions since its initial release in 1970 as the Richardson Gratings Diffraction Grating Handbook. The publication includes chapters on the manufacture, testing, and use of diffraction gratings, as well as the design of grating systems, applications for gratings, and advice for users. It also contains dozens of references and a list of technical publications by the MKS technical staff.
The book is available in PDF format or in hardcopy for free, upon request.
