IRLAM, England, Nov. 17, 2025 — Camera-Based Tube Readers. Courtesy of Azenta Life Sciences. Mirage Connect and Cube Connect from Azenta Life Sciences are camera-based tube readers. The Mirage Connect reader is designed for robotic platforms and frozen samples. It includes integrated networking capabilities, enabling seamless operation via RJ45 connection without requiring a traditional distributed current power supply. To reduce fogging and condensation when reading frozen samples, the unit is passively cryo-protected, helping users minimize the exposure time of samples to ambient conditions during reading. The Cube Connect reader supports large-format racks, including 14×14, 81-position, and 100-position cryo boxes. It features two 12-MP cameras and connects via USB-C or RJ45, removing the need for dedicated power adapters. Additionally, the Cube Connect offers integrated Cyclops barcode reading and compatibility with various rack templates for both standalone use and networked lab environments.
