Big Sky Laser Technologies Inc. is offering the ULTRA CFR, a compact pulsed Nd:YAG laser suited for micromachining, ablation, dye pumping, fluorescence and mass spectroscopy applications. The device delivers Q-switched pulses at 266, 355 and 532 nm, and at 1.06 µm, with variable repetition rates from 1 to 20 Hz. At 1.06 µm, the laser has a pulse stability of ±3%. The stiff I-beam optical bed construction, hard-mounted nonadjustable mirrors and lock-down, rotating optical alignment wedges make the laser rugged enough for harsh industrial and field conditions. A standard RS-232 interface is included for remote placement and control.
